We are delighted to launch our case study on the world’s first successful Social Impact Guarantee (SIG) at Tri-Sector Associates’ inaugural conference.
We would like to thank our Guest of Honour, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Social And Family Development & Culture, Community & Youth Mr Eric Chua, as well as General Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the YMCA of Singapore, Ms Wu Mei Ling, and the Director of TL Whang Foundation, Ms Chan Chia Lin, for gracing the launch of our case study.
Since 2011, the YMCA of Singapore’s VaSSP has served over 800 youth-at-risk who are Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET) to re-engage them in work and school.
Approaching its 10th anniversary, the YMCA of Singapore wanted to innovate and enhance its programme, trialing 3 new enhancements through a Social Impact Guarantee.
We are happy to share that the SIG completed successfully in January 2023 after 5 runs – with the enhancements leading to the success rate of youth placed in education and employment being raised from 60% to 70%. You can download the case study at this link.
